Gastrointestinal disorders remain a concern for diabetics. Type 2 diabetics face an increased risk for Barrett’s Esophagus (BE). This past week, gastroenterologists met at the American College of Gastroenterology's (ACG) 77th Annual Scientific Meeting in Las Vegas, NV to review the latest scientific advances in gastrointestinal research, treatment of digestive diseases and clinical practice management. The correlation between Barrett’s Esophagus and diabetes was among the discussions.
